OTHER COLLEGES I The Intercollegiate Track and Field games will be held at Philadel phia on May 31st and June ist. This meet will determine what men will be sent to the Olympic Games in Sweden from the Eastern col leges.-Exchange. Columbia has received a gift of $1,ooo,ooo by the will of the late Joseph Pulitzer, with which to found a School of journalism.-Exchange. Representative men of Harvard and Princeton have gone on record as favoring the alumni as opposed to the professional system of coach ing.-Exchange. Eighty-one men are wearers of the "C" at Cornell. Eighteen let ters were awarded in football and fourteen in track. Crew and base ball followed in the order named. Exchange. The abolition of the hammer throw and the substitution of the 36-pound shot put is being seriously considered by the committee in charge of the intercollegiate games. -Exchange. Yale's track team will be greatly crippled this year by the loss of Kil patrick and Chisholm, who are in tercollegiate point winners in the hurdles.-Exchange.
