The burden of .\1iss Rion's Iper was that the large class of unbeliev ers in this country are not only a dead weight on the activities of the Christian .1iurclh, but are inl a very real sense a positive hiindrance to its wdork in the world. By the holding of views either alien or dlirectly op posing, the sect of noun-religionlists work to counteract the effect of whlatever ilissiolary alnd anliis work the organized church can perforim.
