Mr. McGrady .is a one-armed Confed erate soldier, and has already had experience as keeper. He was in charge of the poov’house just after the war, but*Was removed when the Rad- teals came into power. J. C. Ager. There are articlefetm “Buddhism and its Ear ly Literature,” “The Episcopal Gen eral Convention,” “Sacred Musicians of the XlXth Century,” “The Shapira Manuscript of Deuteronomy,” “The Knights of the Temple,” Woman’s Work in Germany,” etc., etc. Most of these are admirably illustrated. There are sketches, essays, poems, and a rich department of fiction, with the conclusion of the serial, “Air. Burke’s j Nieces,” and short stories by Eben E. | Rexfoid, E. F. Gordon Gumming, and ■other celebrated writers. The editor, T. Dc Witt Tahnage, D. D., contrib utes a sermon, and indeed the number abounds with interesting and editing reading.
