S. was over. 1st Hymn line 140, and 22, Scripture read by -the pastor, then .he took his text and preached a wonderful sermon " which we all enjoyed. A collection of $31.03 was taken up. The choir rendered nice music. Collection was also taken up for tne sick, $7.00. Our pastor and his wife was the dinner guest of Mr. R. D. Henderson today. Sattiwhitc announced the marriage of her daughter, Miss Odesso Satterwhitc to Mr. Cpl. John Robert Griffin. Both of Whitmire, S. C. Owens preached an enlightening and uplifting sermon. ?IT wasT enjoyed by everyone and many hearts rejoiced. The sermon was taken from Ps. 27:10. The Theme was: "Father And Children of Light," the contest?Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them for such is thfc Kindgom of Heaven. Dr. Preston and fifteen teachers from his church, Shandon Presby\ terian in Columbia, conducted a Bible School for Children from the 1st to the 8th grade at St. Paul A. M. E. Church in Irmo durin the _ M. E. Bible School is being held i n Trinity Methodist Church, also at New Bethel AME, though,small in number, we are trying to do our ' bit. Church-,?dedshury, South Carolina. Dr. B. H. Cray, Presiding Elder, presided over the meetings. Rev. J. P. Cummings, host pastor. The conference prayer meeting opened at 11:00 a. m. with the singing of "I am Coing To Trust In The Lord," led by Brother Elijah Thompson of Unity Station, Holly Hiljl, South Carolina. Bro. Howard Sprinkle of Target and Rev. Loney Hamilton of Pro. I vulenee Mission assisted in t h e conducting of the Prayer Ser- ] vice.
