The most enjoyable social affair to take place among the matrons of Kingstree was the reception last Friday afternoon from 5 to 7 o'clock; by Mrs E Carroll Burgess, at her beautiful home in North Kingstree, in honor of the community's latest bride, Mrs H Olin Welch. Appropriate decorations were arranged for the occasion, and about fiftv ludips were present. A floral guessing contest was an entertaining feature of the evening, the prize, a beautiful box of candy, being won by Mrs Brockington, was presented by her to the honor guest. Delightful mu?ic was fuanished by Misses Selma Thorn and Olive Benton. Delicious fruit punch was served by Mrs S B McGill, sister of the hostess, also ice cream and cake.
