At 5:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon the home of Dr and Mrs E T Kellev was the scene of a quiet but strikingly beautiful wedding ceremony, the contracting parties being Miss Margaret Elizabeth Ross and Mr Claude C Hudnell. The bride is the beautiful and accomplished daughter of Mr M A Ross of this place and"a sister of Mrs E T Kelley. The groom is a successful merchant of Hamlet, N C. The home of Dr and Mrs Kelley was beautifully decorated for this occasion and as the charming bride and handsome groom entering the room prepared for the ceremony, with the soft rays of the setting sun pouring in through a window, made the scene was unusually picturesque. The ceremony was performed by the Kev W fcJ Hurt or uneraw, formerly of the Kingstree Baptist church. After the ceremony lunchen was served and the happy couple were taken to Lanes, where they boarded a fast train for the North to enjoy their honeymoon. When they return they will reside at Hamlet, N C, the home of the groom, and where the bride is so well known and beloved, having taught school there for several years past.
