Eggplant seed may now he planted in hotbed under glass or in flat or shallow box in kitchen window. The eggplant is very tender and will not stand cold weather. Near Atlanta we wait until May 1 before setting plants in open ground. Bell peppers are almost as tender as eggplant. They will stand some more cold without injury, but even a light frost will put them out of business. For this reason we wait until the weather is settled the last of April before setting the the field. Rheumatisni^^^^Nfr Is My Weather Prophet.
