Mi33 Alice Stackley, a daughter of Mr and Louis Stackley, was married : to Mr Oscar W Cottle at noon I Friday at the home of her parents, on Academy street. The ceremony was performed b> the bride's pastor, Rev G T Harmon, of the Methodist church. Only relatives and a few intimate friends were present. After the solemn vows were taken that made them man and wife. Mr and Mrs Cottle departed by auto for Hamlet, N C,where they will reside. The bride i3 one of Kingstree's most highly esteemed young ladies, and it was with sincere regret that her host of friends saw her leave to make her home elsewhere. Since her father's appointment as postmaster she has been an assistant in the postoffice, and her unvaryingly pleasant and accommodating disposition made 'her very popular with the public. Mr Cottle was formerly telegraph operator here but about a year ago was promoted to a similar position at Harnlet. He is highly regarded wherever known. Within the past few days Messrs F W Fairey and T Olin Epps sold a carload of 132 nice hogs which netted them over $1300.00 at a gross price of 8 cents the pouod. Of the lot; which was shipped today, Mr Fairey sold 78 and Mr Epps 54. This is the second car of nice hogs shipped by Mr Fairey and other gentlemen from this section within the past six weeks, the previous shipments going to Richmond, Va. Mr N D Lesesne, who for eight years has been the very able superintendent of the Methodist Sundayschool here, tendered his resignation several weeks ago and the same was reluctantly accepted by the school.
