It is quite an interesting book. I met my old friend, Mr Marshall, who never fails to say, "Give us another letter," as do many others I have not mentioned. I hope they will not feel slighted. My heart is toward all that read their county paper and pay for it promptly. I am camping at Mr Willie Dennis', where we have good water, are free from mosquitoes and in sight of Black river. At the beginning of this letter I .started to say something about the battle of Fort Moultrie. I do not | think it worth while to write much, as every school boy or girl ought to know all about it?how the British bombarded the fort and how the gallant Sergeant Jasper leaped over the wall of the fort, took up the flag that had been shot down and placed it up again amid a shower of cannon balls. All know how badly the British were beaten. I will add a few lines we would sing on the 28th of < June when I was a boy. Sir Peter Parker was in command of the British fleet and lost an arm. The first of June the British fleet appeared in Charleston harbor, The Z8th attacked the fort and wounded John the barber. Sir Peter Parker, the fooiith man that ran himself in danger, Tore his breeches off his back and thought himself a stranger. Poor Conrad. Mouzons, June 28. Sir Roger Casement will be hanged today in England for treason. CRYING FOR HELP. Lets of It lo Kiogstree but Daily Growing Less. The kidneys often cry for help.
