The "Rally Day" exercises of the McDowel Presbyterian church at Greelyville will long be remembered by the large congregation present Sunday, October 3. This flourishing Sunday-school,under the capable management of the superintendent, Mr YV M O'Bryan, has been in possession for two years of the banner given by Harmony Presbytery for largest amount given, according to membership, for Sunday-school extension work, and, as the collection was larger this year than ever before, they are hoping to keep it. The children were deeply interested and worked to earn their own money for this cause. Five scholars won Bibles by reciting the shorter Catechism perfectly. They were: Hazel Green, Havnsworth Lesesne, Lula Montgomery, Isabelle Montgomery and Margaret Montgomery. Several will be given gold pins for not having been absent from Sundayschool during the year. The children were well trained in the exercises, and their singing was beautiful, especially the opening song, "Keep Sweet." The beauty of the singing was added to very much by the quartette from Manning, Messrs Joe Wells, Andrew Burgess, Joe Davis and Mr Richardson, who charmed the audience by their fine voices. "Rock of Ages" and the "Glory Song," being particularly beautiful. The Rey Mr Brown, pastor of the church, made a most interesting address on the subject of Sunday-school Extension Work. M C Mouzo.w ENDORShD AT HOME. Such Pn of as This Should Convince Any Kinyslree Citizen. The public endorsement of a local citizen of the best proof that can be produced. None better, none stronger can be had. When a man comes forward and testines to nis ieiiowcitizens, addresses his friends and neighbors, you may be sure he is thoroughly convinced or he would not do so. Telling one's experience when it is for the public good is an act of kindness that should be appreciated. The following statement given by a resident of Kingstree adds one more to many cases of home endorsement which are being published about Doan's Kidney Pills. Read it: W K Mcintosh, prop tobacco warehouse, Main St, Kingstree, says: "Several years ago my kidneys were disordered, and I suffered from dull pains in the small of mv back. I was sore and lame and had headaches and dizzy spells. I tried different medicines, but vMihout success, until friends recommended Doan's Kidney Pills. Tii- y cured me. Price 50c, at all dealers.
