The town election will be pulled off next Tuesday, January 12, at which time an intendant and four wardens will be elected. Moving is on the programme now and is certainly being carried out. Christmas passed off quietly, business being "dull" in police circles, not a single arrest was made, and less drunkenness, it seems, than heretofore. The teachers in the school spent the holidays at their respective homes and have returned to resume their duties. A number of the younger set enjoyed a new year's party at the home of Mr and Mrs H A Graham last Friday night. Misses Hettie Willoughby and Sadie Graham spent the holidays at home. They are from Coker College. Mr John Graham has returned to ( Clemson College, and is guilty of spending the yuletide at home.
