Leo, December 15:?After an ab| senee of about two months I will endeavor to give the many readers of The Record a few dots from Leo. Rev P B Ingraham preached at Prospect Sunday morning. He gave us his usual fine sermon. Mr R A Brown and his charming bride are at home to their friends, after a pleasant trip to the "Land of Flowers." They went to Jackson- > ville, Tampa and other points. Mr and Mrs F M Hanna of Johnsonville spent a few days last week at the home of Mr and Mrs W W Burrows, returning to Johnsonville Sunday afternoon. MJ Lamar Johnson of Rhems was at Leo one day last week on business for the Messrs Rhem. Come again, | Lamar; we are always glad to see !you. Time has arrived for the boys and girls to come home to spend the Christmas holidays. Among those to come to Leo are: Misses Freda Carter and Elise Brown, and Messrs Willie J Brown and Julian Brown. Mr Willie J Brown will spend only a few days at home, as he has[been elected by his school as a delegate to the Y M C A convention to meet in Kansas City, Missouri, just after Christmas. The school could not have chosen a better young man as its representative at this meeting. Your scribe spent a very pleasant day at Kingstree Saturday. Saw a good many of my old-time friends whom I had not seen for a good many years. I always enjoy going to Kingstree, as it was once my home town. Was very proud to meet my old friend. Mr C W Wolfe, out on the streets again. I hope the Lord will continue to bless him with good health, as I do not see how we could do without him and The Record. While we have our pleasures, we , have some sadness, too. Mr and Mrs Mance Tanner lost their only child, a little girl about 3 years old, last Wednesday evening. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved parents. There is much talk to the effect that there will soon be a raffroad in a quarter of a mile of Leo. This will be fine indeed for the farmers who have to haul fertilizers and other freight so far. W W B. , Fit His Case Exactly. "When father was sick about six years ago he read an advertisement of Chamberlain's Tablets in the papers that fit his case exactly," -V writes Miss Margaret Campbell of Ft Smith. Ark. "He purchased a box of them and he has not been sick jince. My sister had stomach *-\ trouble and was also benefited by I them." For sale by all dealers. Mr Fairfax Harrison, for the past I.. :j tnree years presiucuv, ui mc vun.ngo ,Indianapoli3 & Louisville Railway company, has been chosen president ^ ; of the Southern railway as successor to President W W Finley, recently deceased. / ^ i - \ We have outstanding accounts for job work, subscription, advertising # and legal blanks, over $1,500, in amounts ranging from 25 cents ,to $5.00. These accounts are so small that we cannot afford to expend much time or money trying to collect them. But think what the total means to us! If all who owe these ' little accounts would pay up, we could meet that note several times ' over.
