At the same time the bride, Miss Jessie Jeraldine Simmons, descended the stairs on tne arm 01 her uncle, Dr Elbert Simmons, and joiped the .groom beneath the arch, where the vows were taken. At the close of the ceremony the *j doors into the dining-room were ' thrown open and a delicious twocourse luncheon was seryed the . jj| guests by six girls daintily dressed in pink and white. The table in the center of the room, on which was the bride's cake, was covered by a beautiful piece of hand-made lace. Streamers of white ribbon extended from the table to the chandelier, where they were caught with bows of tulle. White and green candles in crystal candle-holders were burning on the table, buffet and mantel, shedding their soft light upon the scene. The young ladies enjoyed , cutting the bride's cake, the ring falling to Miss Elizabeth Cannon and the'thimble to Miss Nellie Hudgens of Baltimore. The bride wore a tailored suit of brown cloth, with hat, gloves and shoes to match, and was never lovelier than on thip, her wedding day. Mr and Mrs Cannon left immediate- , ly on the north-bound train for a two weeks' tour, after which they will return to reside at Hemingway.
