?^??? FREE SEED DISTRIBUTION. All Wanting to Participate Write Congressman Ragsdale. Editor County Record:? I do not approve of the present way of handling the seed distribution on the part of the Government, because I believe that many inferior A... * 1 J J ' lypes 01 seea are purcnasea ana in | many instances have come from their 1 distribution. I find the system in Togue here, however, of allotting to each Congressman a certain number of packages of seed. It is not my in. tention to send these seed to newspaper offices or other places to be handed out to any one, but it is my purpose to mail seed to any white Democrat who cares enough for a package of seed to drop me a card, j requesting me to send them. If, j therefore, you wish to receive a j package of either vegetable or flower ~ seed and will notify me which you prefer, I shall take pleasure in comnlvintr with \our reauest. J YV Ragsdale, c | o US House of Representatives, ? Washington,'D C, September 9. Better Boads Wanted. Editor County Record:? I agree with the writer of the article, "Better Roads Make Better Business," if he can only find some plan for the northern corner of Williamsburg county to have some little _ improvement on the roads in that section; even a shovel-ful of dirt here and there would help us greatly without the rock, as we haven't had enough work done on the roads in No 6 district of Sumter township in three years to have built one mile of first-class road and we are crying for relief, but to no effect; hence, as the writer referred to says,we can't market our products at the best market on this account. We all ^ know $2 a year each would make better roads than we have, if we could get it here in No 6 district.! rwr _!_J i._ i *?11.
