Electric Lights for Kinstree Elsewhere in this paper will be found a notice of the opening of books of oubfription to the capital stock of The Kingstree Electric Light and Ice Co on Saturday next. It will be gratifying to the progressive citizens of Kingstree to know that the prospect of better lights for our beautiful littie town, our homes and places of business is at last assuming definite shape. A further source of gratification is the intimation of a local ice manufacturing plant in connection with the lighting plant. At present the ice consumed by our citizens is shipped from Georgetown and Florence, and due to an enormous waste, a natural incident in the transportation of this necessary commodity, it costs us much more than if supplied by a well patronized local plant, hence the project should jjave the co-operation of our town council and the encouragement of every resident of Kingstree. Thp incorporators of these much needed additions to the public welfare are public-spirited gentlemen, and we are quite convinced that the projects will be carried forward to an earlv and successful completion. ^ New Advertisements j Horses Shod Right?W M Vause & Son. J * CONFIDENCE * in your bank's strength will have the same kind of an effect on your business as the confidence in your doctor has upon your health. Your physician may be a good one, yet if you place no reliance in his method of treatment your health will not be benefited. And vice versa, if the doctor lacks confidence in the patient's willingness to follow instructions his efforts to cure will soon become lax. The bank and its depositors stand in the same relation to each other as doctor and patient. Mutual confidence is necessary to the best interests of both. ; This feeling of reciprocity is very strong ?and justly so?between the depositors and the WEE NEE BANK.
