OUR F in VoiI< Plaid S Ladies' MILL! THE NEWS AT BENSON. Interesting Letter Detailing Neighborhood Events. Benson, November 4:?Mr. Editor, it has been sometime since you have heard from this scribe, which'was net because of lack of something to write about, but for want of time on the part of your humble quill driver. But since the nights have grown to be so much longer than the days, will try to let you hear frorti us oftener. We are having quite a dry spell now and some of our people find it difficult to get water, their wells and pumps having gone dry. Our school has gotten well under way now and Misses Mary Aimar and Helen Scott - seem to be giving general satisfaction a'l around to trustees, patrons and pupils. The enrollment now reaches 77 and and probably a few more to come in yet. Cqtton picking, corn and hay harvesting and "tater" digging are the order of the day now. By the way, we think some of our young men who indulge in the sport of "possum" hunting might present the editor and our Lake City correspondent with a nice fat "possum" to go *with those big "taters" they {;hacre been getting recently. If we<o<nld drop back into oar --"teens*1 and call up old "Watch" and "Driver," two of' our good old dogs whose bark at the -"possum" and "coon" tree never -Jwlcd us, in those good of "sweet" sixteen, before the waning ot another toon the editor and our Lake City correspondent would both V- have a nice fat "possum" to go with those "taters." Our friend, Prof. L. H. McCullongh, is having a nice dwelling built at Dock on the new railroad from Georgetown to J ?111 wa nvaonmA I Jtanoa, duu wiii} fc |/i?duiuvi soon become a resident of that place. May success crown bis undertaking. Rev. J. A. White preached his farewell sermon at CedarSwamp church last Sunday to a attentive congregation. This is Bro. White's fourth year on Cedar Swamp circuit, and by the laws of the Methodist church he will be assigned to a new f eld of labor when our annual conference meets. May an All Wise Providence guide, direct and bless him where ever he goes, all through life. Winter is here and the chilly north wind makes a fellow feel like putting on his thick flannels. And, now, wishing The Record much success and best wishes for all good people, we are, Yours truly, Benson. VThcn the Stomach, Heart or Kidney -nerves are weak, then these organs .always fail.'
