Salters Depot, Oct 16: Or Tuesday of court week W F Clayton, Esq., the Grand Mogul, made the assertion that those who would read the papers or the following Wednesday would see that the "grand old count} of Darlington'' had voted tc retain the dispensary by a handsome majority, as he had instructed them to vote that way, I presume. But lo, the "grand old county of Darlington," de spite Mr Clayton's sanguine prediction, voted the dispensary out two to one when the ballots were counted. Mr Clayton has also predicted that Williamsburg will follow Darlington and Florence, but I am afraid that he will atrain be disappointed. I cannot see why Mr Clayton should be so interested in the affairs of this county, as he does not have to pay any of the taxes. I am inclined to think that some people are bein^ paid to talk dispensary.
