"Work Day" Offering for Epworth Orphanage. We have planned to have a "Work i Day" offering in favor of the Dp- J worth Orphanage, on Oct. the 20th, inst. We desire to hate as many peo-! pie as will to donate their earnings j of that day to the support of the Orphanage. There are thousands of men and women, boys and girls who could J well afford to give the earnings of 1 one day to the support of a cause so ; worthy and deserving as that of providing for the more than one hundred fatherless little ones placed under the care of the Methodist church mSouth Carolina, for support and; training. It will be a small matter; to the individual to make this contri- j bution, but the gifts of the many j will aggregate a helpful sum for the. care of the orphans. Let some onej be appointed in every community to! take charge of the offerings and re- j mit to us, but if preferable the in- j dividual may send his own offering. We hope the children throughout the State will be encouraged to take an , active part in this matter, and that ! all the friends of the Orphans will j co-operate with us in making the day ' a success.
