Last week old Aunt Dinah Graham. colored, belonging to the estate ? of N M Graham, while taking iu some dried washed clothing, fell fwrostrate on her porch, from which wjir removed a corDse in a few WT A minutes. Mr E S Johnson is preparing to move to Norfolk, Ya., We trust success will atteud his every undertaking, though the departure of his family will be a great loss iu our social circle. Mr Olie McClary and Mis$ Alma Nexsen of Cades spent Sunday with relatives in this viciuity. Messrs Frank and Alonza Hanna were visiting near Cades Sunday afternoon. Mr Johnnie Williamson from near Cades was here a short while Sunday. Miss Rhina Burrows is spending some time with relatives neai Bensou. Mr Willie Lifrage of Salters was here a short while Sunday. I am glad to report that Miss Bessie McCutchen is out again after a few days' sickness. The house of Robt McElveen, colored, was almost destroyed on Sunday night by lire, but luckily j the tire was soon discovered and put I out befort much damage resulted. Rev S Law ton Watson, pastor of Cedar Grove Baptist church, has tendered his resignation as pastor, which has been accepted by the church. The doors of the church are closed for the present; but. efforts will be made to secure a pastor as soon as possible. Mr II E Tisdale's little daughter in the dusk of evening accidentally stumbled over a large tub of hot water and fell forward; both hands and arms up to the elbow were badly scalded.
