Now it conies to pass that at the re-organization meeting gf the Brunswick and Birmingham railroad, which was held in New York on Tuesday, McLaurin was not elected president of the railroad and he sold all his holdings in the Mohawk Valley company, an nouncing that he would return to South Carolina shortly and adding the significant words: "Perhaps I am better fitted to farming in South Carolina than to railroading in Wall street."
