There was a base ball game here Friday between Lake City and Cades. At the close of the game the score stood 17 to 6 in favor or Lake City. \ Messrs. Epps <fc Epps are having an extension built to the rear ot their store. This will give them more room for their growing business. The tobacco sales last Friday were very large, the largest probably that we have ever had. Both houses were full and the prices were away up, up. Messrs. Richey have moved into their residence on Main street. The dwelling lately occupied by them has. been secured by Mr. B. M. Clement, who will live there. We hear that there will be a bifi picnic at Mrs. Feenie Ful. inore's on the 8th. Col. Peter Ep.ps says it is going to be the picnic of the season. One of the attractions will be a game ot base ball between Lake City and Cades, so we hear^ Mr. W. W. Fulmore came in town Saturday afternoon. While looking after some business his horse broke loose.* He was tound late at night 011 the Coast Line track below here. Train No. 23 killed him. When tound he still had on the saddle. Mrs. W. L. Ba*s went down to Charleston Friday to see her mother, Mrs. S. J. Lucas, who is extremely ill?in fact is pronounced by her physician beyond hope of recovery.
