It was a lovely charming spring day ami if the conditions had b^en planned and studied, they could not have been more perfect or lovely* The serrices at the churches were distinctly in keeping with the day and special choirs increased for the occasion, furnished exquisite and elaborate music. The various flower -rardens and even tlie fields and forests had almost been laid bare to deck the altars, and the beautiful array of the season was shown to perfection in the blending of colors and their fragrance. The Me hodist church was beautiful y decorated and the, tin.vers looked as natural as if they had grown there* Services were held at this church bv the pastor Rev. \V. S. Martin. In the Presbyterian churchy services was held by the pastor Rev. J. iu Dunlop, and a song service was conducted in the Baptist churchy undef direction of Mr. B. H. Myers. THE COLORED CHURCHES. Services were conducted in the various colored churches of the town. At the Methodist church, which was tastefully decorated^ Kaster was celebrated by a song service and addresses by Revs.Baxter and Thomas. The church was well tilled,a good number of whites being present.
