Advance in Corn and the South. Racot. t<a If we am not much mistaken in the pres ent appearance of the Western provision markets, those planters in the South who staked their bottom dollar on cotton last year arc going to have a rough f ime of it from now until the next corn and bacon crops are made. Prime white corn on the 27th day of Apirl, one year ago was selling in this market at $1 05 per bushel, by the ear load- It is now worth ?1.30—a difference of -15 cents per bushel against the South cottou planter. Bacon at this time one year "ago was weak at IS cents for clear rib sides. It is now firm at these figures, with an advanc ing tendenry. So it is clear that there meet bo a very heavy decline, at least in the price of bacon, or the planter will have to shell out a much larger amount of cash for the staff of life this, than last yea . But will this de cline occur? Evidently it will not, for our corn dealers, at the present high price, arr bearly able to keep pace with the demand and from all quarters in the West we here of a general scarcity of corn, and a daily ad vance in prices per contra. On the 27th day of last April planters were firmly holding Cotton in this market at twenty-five cents per pound; now they are offering it quite freely at twenty-one cents — A< l>,y llcruM. MTOMlim! DISEASES OF THE BLOOD. “The life of the flesh is in the Blood,” is 0 Scriptural inuxio that science proves to be true. Ti e people talk of bad blood, as the cans© of innny diseases, and like many popular opinions this of bad blood is founded in truth. Tho symptoms of bad blood are usually quite plain—bad Digestion—c.auscimpcrfoct nutrition, and consequently the circulation is feeble, the soft tissues loose their tone aud elasticity, and the tongue becomes pale, bread, and frequently cove, ed with a pasty white coat* This condition soon shows itself in roughness of the skin, then in Eruptive and Ulcerative diseases, and when long continued, results in serious lesions of the Brain, Liver, Lungs, or urinary apparatus.— Much, very much, suffering is caused by impure blood. It is estimated by some that one-lif'h of the human family are effected with scrofula in some form. When the Blood is pure, yon are not so liable to any disease. Many impurities oflhe Blood arise from impure diseases of large cities. Era- dicstc everv impurity from the fountain of life, and good spirits, fair skin and vital strength will return to you. Regular and sufficient acuon of the Kidneys is a< important, nay, even more ao, than regnla rity of the bowel*, '^he k'dneys remove from the j Blood those effete matters which, if permitted to remain, would speedily destroy life. A total sus pension of the urinary discharges will occasion death from thirty-six to forty-eight hours. When thcUrinis voided in mmall quantities nt the time, or when there is a disposition to Urinate more frequently than natural, or when the urine is high colored or scalding with weak ness in the small of the back, it should not be trifled with or delayed, but Koskoo should be ta ken at once to remedy the difficulty, before a le sion of the organs take place. Most of the dis eases of the Bladder originate from those of the Kidneys, the Urine being imperfectly secreted in the Kidneys prove irritating to the Bin liter and Urinary passages.
