E. 11. AtULL. EuiTou. GOEBEL DIED SATURADAY NIGHT. IIEGAN To SINK IN TIIE AFTERONOON AND NEVIEC IAlI). Fight (oos On-ot4 Sides Appeal To the Court-Waftringtoa 'i'hl11k Taylor Mo sant Subamtit. Frankfort, Ky., Feb. 3.-Senator Goe bel died this evening at 7:37 o'clock. Early in the afternoon it was seen that death was only a matter of a short time. .Judge Pryor wired Judge eld wine at 3:39 o'clock that, he could not live an hour and that there was no earthly hope. Justus Goebel, the son ator's brother, arrived in the after nool. 110 camle out of the chanber later weeping bitterly. Goebel sulfered a relapse shortly af ter I o'clock, and did not respond to the remedies falling to rally. 11 is stomttach was the great trouble. The morning ho was shot he was sick at iiis hotel and went to the State house with out breakfast. He has had practically no nourishment since. Judge Cantrell issued an injiinetion today against Taylor and General Col lier. A hearing on it not:on to make the injuuction permanent will be had before .1udge Cantrell on the 8th at Georgetown. If the democratic legis latot's are refused admission to the State house on Monday, Taylor and Collier will be considered iii contempt of court. The democrats will come bick to F'rankfort on 111onday. The republicans will assemble at London. No effort will be made to secure per sonal service on Taylor. Tde ,iuge directed that his order be allowed to remain binding without service becnuse of the danger threateninlg any one who should undertake the task and tho re sults that night, elsue owing to the state of the publie iimid. Speaker T"inble said today the lem ocratic legislators will not ohey any or ders issued by 'T>a.yloir and would not go to London. Beckham, democratic lieutenant governor, is acting as gov ernor. Having been refused help from the federal government, Governor Taylor has decided to appeal to the federal courts. le will today ask .1ludge lIvans to issue a writof Injlletion restralniug Goobel ;rom acting as governor. Inis course was decided upoin here early this morning at a conference of republican attorneys. Ex-Governor Bradley will p:o'bably lead the argument before Judge Evans for the desired writ. It is expected that the petition will con tain these chief points: Taylor undoubtedly had the majority of votes in the late election: that his political opponents officially called up on to pass on said cl.eetion so deceled. Any attempt of the democ'atie legisla tu,r, to Unc,at him mw t. ill be an usurpa tion of p)ower and unconstitutional. Trhe declaration of Goebel 's election made by the democratic legislators is void as Taylor hatd adjourned the legis Imature and legislation in the interim was illegal, lie will claim that he had the power to adjourn the legislature as ho deemed an insurrect, ion existed and ho alone was governor and judge of whether said insurrect, ion exist ed. Washington, D. C., F'eb. 3.-Tho re fusail of the ad m in istr'ation to respondi to Taylor's appleal for recognition is said by member of the cabinet to mean! that Taylor' will p)robably b3 unseated. The president and cabinet, regret thlis as they are convinced that T1aylor was elected rightfully and the action of tile Goebel board of control and the Goebel legislature in declaring Goebel elected was imp)rop)er, but they realize that thus far tihe Kentucky legislature has acted within its right, under the law, and that inuterferonco by the federal authority would be wrong. Senator Lindsay has assured the ad inistration that the legislature will proceed under the Goebel lawv, and thoe is nothing for the government to do but submit. Glorlous Newa Comtes from D)r. D). BA. Cargile, of Washita, I. 'T. Ho writes: "F?our bot tles of Electric Bitters hias cured Mrs. Brewer of scrofula, which had caused( her great suffering f'or years. Terrible sores would .break out on her head and face, and the best doctors could give no help; but her cure is complete and( her hiealt h is excellent." This shows whit thIousands1 have proved-that Electric IRittere is the best blood purl fier known. It's the supremue remlediy for eczema, totter, ealt rheum, ulcers, bolls and run)ning sores. It stimufate m liver, kid neys and bowels, expels poison, helpe digestion, builds up the strength. Only 50 cents. Sold by all druggists. Guar anteed. Wasnted.
