Queer M arringc RecordN. Strati o doato notices are often published, but hero are four funny marriage announcements: In Concord, Februury, 1825, Solomon Payne to Miss Ruth Barker. Some females fall in love with wealth, Some with a lovely swain: But, Sarah, in the bloom of health, Takes to her bosom Payno. Married at Bridgewater, Dec. 16, 1788, Capt. Thomas Baxter, of Quincy, aged (I6, to Miss Whitman, aged 57, of the former place, after a long and tedious courtship of forty eight years, which they both snstained with uncommon fortitude. At Black Lake, L. I., February, 1828, James Anderson to Ann Bread. While toasts the lonely graces spread. And fops around them tintter, I'll be contented with Ann l3rcad. And wont have any but her. In Bozrah, Cono., August, 18191, John Bates, of Williamstown, Mass., to Miss Mary Ann 13ass, of the former place, after a courtship of one hour. Is this not angling well, I ask. , Such tender bait to take? He caught in one short hour a bass, * The bass, though, caught the bate. BU Careful No woman can be too careful of her condition during the period be fore her little ones are born. Neglect or improper treatment then endan gers her life and that of the chi-ld. It lies with her whether she, shall s:;user unnecessarily, or whether the ordeal shall be made comparatively easy. She had better do nothing than do something wrong. MOTHER'S FRIEND is the one and the only preparation that is safe to use. It is a liniment that penetrates from the outside. Extern)al applications are eternally right. Internal medicines are radi cally wrong. They are more than humbugs-they endanger life. Mother's Irilend helps the muscles to relax and expand naturally-re lieves morning sickness--removes ci the cause of nervousness and head ache --prevents hard and rising dl breasts-shortens labor and lessens the pains-and helps the patient to rapild recovery. From a letter by a Shreveport, La.,f woman: " I have been using your wonderful remedy, Mother's Friend, for the last two months, and find it just as recommended." Drugglsts sell It at $1 per bottle.
