Be it onactedl by the Gen nral Arsembly of the State of South Carolina: That See. 170 of the Criminal Statutes of South Carolina, in Volume 2, of the Revised Statutes of 1893, and the same is hereby, amended so as to read as follows: "Sec. 186. Every entry upon the lands of another after notice from t,he owner or tenant priohibiting the same, shall be a misdemeanor, and be pun ished by fine not to exceed one hun d red dollars or imprisonmnent with hard labor on the public works of the conty not exceeding thirty days. Provided that whenover' any owner or tenant of any lands shall p)ost a notice in four conspicuous p)laces on the borders of any land prohibiting entry thereon, andl shall publish once a week for four successive weeks such notice in any newspaper circulating in the county where such lands are situate a pr'oof of the posting andl of publh;iing such no tice within twelve months p)rior to the entry, shall he dkeemed and taken as notice conclusive against the person making ent,ry as aforesaid, totr hunting or fishing.
