On Oct. 8, 1918, lie underwent an operation for appen dicitis and evei' afterwards was a great sufferer until that dreaded disease, in fluenza, seized him, which proved fatal. On one bright sunmer day iring the month of August, 1903, lie gave his life to 'Christ, (I shall never forget that day). He left his mother's going to his home which was one mile distance and was soundly converted on the way. le ran in home and told I1s dear wife of this great change that had taken place in his life, then hitched up the I iily horse and came back to mother's and said to her, "Your ndw boy has come" and when it was known, all the family and visitors were stirred from the very bottom of thell souls. That sane evening lie stood before a large congregation in old lramlett church aI(d told what Christ had done for him.
