Newberry, July 1.-Before a crowd of 3,000 peoplo the candidates for State oflices presented their claims for tho various oflices today, winding up the second week of the county to county canvass. The crowd was com ilosed largely ol farmers but there were several of the tilcase leaders present frot Greenwood, Abbeville, Lau-rons, Andersci. Columbia and Clarendon county. The audience gave Former Gov. Cole L. pl3ease a cordial reception and several times during his attack on the ad ministration of Gov. Manning his followers voiced their approval. Gov.
