WORK TO BE RESUMED. Uall!ghfr& Bramlett Given Contract for Main Street Improvements. City Council met Monday morning and awarded the Main street grading and macadam work to Galllgher t\ Bramlett. The contract has beer signed and work will commence jus! as soon us practicable. At present Messrs. Galligher A Bramlett are on a big job grading a railroad spur from the Southern tc Wares Shoals in Greenwood county. They will not wait until that job is fin ished however, before taking up and pushing the street contraot. Early Closing Period Approaches. Mrs. Polly Beek?, widow of Danlol Heek?, who died some thirty years ago, suddenly passed away last Sunday afternoon at tho home of her son, Mr, John W.
