Woe be unto him who daree blow his whistle wltnin the city limits of Gaffney. The tooting and screaming of the whistle as the engines and trains speed through the city has become such a nuisance that the city fathers took action on Friday eve ning and the blowing must cease. An engineer of a Southern freight was arrested yesterday but was not fined as he pled Ignorance, saying^ he had not been notified. The action of the gentlemen all expressed grave doubts as to much resulting from their efforts to produce either the fleecy ^staple or the all-satisfying corn.
