To a Lkdcjeu re porter he said; “The majority of the people in my section are in favor of a new county. One reason why I support it is because I live too far from Union. It is necessary for me to cross tho river and I have to go sometimes whether I want to or not. Sometimes the river is up and it is a great inconvenience to go. I had to go one time when the river was up and I was compelled to ride twenty- four miles out of my way going and coming—twelve miles each way. I believe the new county is the proper thing and I want it.” \V. J. 1‘ridmore, of Gowdeyvillo, was here Saturday. Mr. Fridmore called on The Ledger while in the city.
