EFFICIENT PERSONNEL AT THE SERVICE OF THE PUBUC. Henry D. Mole Will Be In Charge. Henry D. Mole, graduate mor tician of the Gupton-Jones School of Embalming, is the manager in charge of the Funer al Home. Mr. and Mrs. Mole will reside in the lovely little six-room bun galow built within a few yards of the funeral home on the same grounds. E. M. Espies, probably the best known, and certainly one of the most popular men in this section of the State, began the undertaking business in a very small way in 1918. He had at that time only one motor vehicle and one assistant. From that small beginning he has pro gressed to a personnel of 12 persons, as follows: E. M. Peeples, manager, funeral direc tor and eifibalmer; Earl F. Pee ples, assistant manager, funeral director and embalmer; Henry D. Mole, manager, funeral direc tor and embalmer of the Barn well Home; William F. Speights, assistant embalmer and funeral director; Miss Louise Platts, stenographer-bookkeeper; John Dobson, Ellerbe Mason and Cecil Mason, service men; Jimmie Holland, office boy; Willie Reid and Sam Campbell, colored fu neral directors; William James, assistant to Reid. The equip ment now' comprises three ser vice cars, two trucks, two ambu lances and three hearses. The first year in business he conducted forty-two funerals; last year, two hundred and sixty- four. In addition to manufacturing a re-inforced concrete vault, ab solutely water-proof and air tight, w’hich is attracting wide attention, Mr. Peeples is district manager for the McNeal Marble Co., the largest in the South and one of the oldest in America. Although the field of service is constantly being enlarged, per sonal service of the same high quality and deep sympathy will continue to be the keynote of the organization.
