Notice of Election State of South Carolina, County of Plekens. Whereas, the resident freeholders and qualified electors of the age of twenty. one years, of Garvin and Kings school districts Nos. 21 and 25 respectively, have petitioned the County Board of Educotion both for and against consoli dation of the above named districts; Therefore, an election is hereby or dered by the County Board of Educa tion, to be held at Pleasant liill school house on November 23, 1917, to de termine whether or not the two above named districts shall be consolidated; having the new school near Pleasant Hill church, and also allowing he Kings school to continue to run up to the sev enth grade. The election shall be held according to the rules of the primary election. Those wishing to vote for consolida tion shall vote a ticket marked 'For Consolidation;' those wishing to vote against consolidation shall vote a ticket - marked "Against Consolidation." F'. V. Williams will preach at the Pickens Mill church the third Sunday in November at 3 o'clock The friends in this county of Rev. E. V. Babb, former pastor of Easley Bap tist church, sympathize with him in the loss of his father whose death occurred at his home in Laurens recently . Born unto Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Couch of Easley, November 5th, a son. This makes four boys for this patriotic family. The latest arrival was named Gilliland, after the late Dr. Gilliland. Messrs. Earl T. Sanders, William A. Burke, J. Horace Parmalee and William H. Bearden of the 114th Tennessee Mili tary Band, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Hester last Friday and Sat urday. Montvale school will begin the winter term next Monday morning, November 19th. Miss Flora Kelly is the assistant teacher and H.
