In all churches of the city and sev eral in the country an appeal will be made today for assistance for the distressed Belgian sufferers. Envel opes In which donations may be plac ed will be distributed among the con gregations by committees appointed for that purpose. Ti 1 ese envelopes will be gathered by the committee men and by them turned over to the pastora, who will meet at the cham ber of commerce next Friday night and count the results of the campaign. Yesterday some 2.000 subscription envelopea were placed with the pas tors of the various churches of the city, while Sunday Behool superinten dents bf some of the country churches called for them.. ti is hoped that in this way a substantial sum can be raised for.
