Thoi house is 18x26 built by the patrons without any aid from the public funds. We wore told that they intended to build the chim noy on the same plan. WVill we find another colored community as public spirited? In number 14 we found W. J. g~ggs in charge of the Mauldmn school, with a very good enroll mont. The trustees not knowing the exact extent of Easloy in time failed to get a house built for the prosent term, and the school is be ing taught ini a tenant house on Mr. Chapmian's land. This colored school for this district is running in number 12 for want of a house, It is taught by J. N. lMiller,of Oo.o noee.
