Slow ducks in the race of life arc dead before they reach the ? oal. Quality is too often lo; t . ight of in thinking so n uvh about quantity. Hotter roads in any pari of thicounty wili inert a e the value of lands there, Times are as good as thy eve) were. There are men who never find a good time. Things are never so bad as they might have been; hardly ever so bad as they seem. The man who is too slow and lazy will fail to get there while otheis win the race. MAY GET LIEN UPON TOBACCO After Signing the Cooperative Marketing Contra-1 Says Davis SOME ONE HAS TOLD IT WRONG Association Will Make it Easier to Get Credit 011 Tobacco Crops Someone lias given Horry County fanners the idea that when the/ sign the Co-operative Marketing eon : tract they cannot give a crop lien on tobacco because they have al. ready signed away their crop. ThU idea is absolutely wrong. Article 13 , of the contract states, "V. u may make a crop mortgage. The association will try to help you secure , standard terms.'' A member of tlvi Association should have an easier time .uct'ing a lien as the Association protects the merchant in pay ment oi the lien. The merchant ha his advances to the farmer soured by the As social ion (Article I.'J, section c) rather than by one individtial. Another incorrect statenunt ha been made that a farmer cannol draw a cash advance on his tobacco upon deliv< ry without u i \ 1 n.u a mortgage on other pi\ perty. Thi. statement is incorrect and was made b\ some one trying to in/.uro the cooperative movement. There is nothng in the contract to warrant, thistatement. As soon as a farmer delivers his toabceo and it is graded he is given a warehouse receipt am', can draw :t cash advnnw unnn tlii< receipt alone, as part payment for his tobacco. The balance to be paid as soon as the tobacco is soid. At the hearing' some arrangement was made whereby the prosecution became satisfied and the cases withdrawn or dismissed, and will not be heard in the higher court. ^To Stoo a Cough Quick ^ I tnke HAYty UfcAl.lNli MUNLY, a coutfh medicine which stops the cough by healing the inflamed and irritated tissues.
