It is evident to all that pros perity still continues. All our contractors and builders have their hands full of work. No laborer who desires work is witli ' uot it, and the only blot on the page recording industrial pr< ? gress amonst us is the silence of the mill whistles which used to break into our beauty sleep. We hope and believe that this > blot will soon be erased, and that tMMium of the spindle, the rat a-tat of the carpenter, s hammer, and the cheerful drone of the f>lamng machine will again join n unison in making Camden a hive of industry. Tlio National Fraternal Union. The District Duputy Organizer of this splendid fraternal insur ance order will be with us on Wednesday, Dec. 14th to remain until Saturday of that week. We cannot too strongly nrge those of limited means to take advantage of the opportunity to protect their wives and children agmst want and suffering by taking out a j?olicy in this absol utely safe organization during that week. We already have a good council of theN. F. U. here, but we want more members in order to make ours the banner council of South Carolina. Pend ing the arrival of Mr. Hastings, the Deputy, if you want any in formation on the subject, call at our oflflco. We will take pleas ure in handing you the literature that will at a glance convince you that this society carries the very best plan of fraternal in surance.
