AFFAIRS IN AIKEN. IK COUNTY IS NOT "BROKE" tET, THE TREASURER HAV INfl $19,000 ON HAND. Aiken. October 27.?Contrary to : belief of many citizens of this mmunity, there is still a little monin the county treasury. It is a bef among some that the county d but a thousand or two dollars hand, and that by the time the penses of the last term of Court re met the treasury would be deitcd. but this is not the case, as 11 be seen by the following figis given The News and Courier -respondent by the county treas r. Mr. Wesley Yonce. The total ount ot money on hand in the asury is $19,156.27, which is diied as follows: >ney on hand Oct. 15 $6,^55.36 unty road fund 4,278.50 ^pensary profits for quarer ending Sept. 30 7,519.80 Iota! $19,156.27 As the county taxes are now bepaid, and the profits from the liday sales of the dispensaries ming in, there is no danger of the unty treasury being depleted in * near future.
