The Lexington, Saluda and Aiken County Hair will be held at Batesburg this year on the above named dates at their new Fair lirouds in the Town of Batesburg. The Pair Association will have spent on their grounds and buildings the opening year something like four or five thousand dollars. They own ind have enclosed ten acres of the prettiest land in the town of Batesburg overooking both towns. The handsome cwo-story Main Pair Building, 100 feet long by 30 feet wide has been erected. In this main building will be exhibited field crops, fancy work, manufactured products, etc. About 100 conveniently irranged and well constructed horse and cattie stalls have been built. A large and convenient poultry house is provided to care for a thousand turkeys, ducks and pigeons, and ample stalls are being provided for goats, sheep ind hogs. It Is earnestly hoped that every farmer wili bring to the Pair his .4 * ;..? i ? ijuuili^ ur nciu crop, ana every iaay ner nowers, needle and fancy work or jther domestic work, so that eacli county will be creditably represented. Suitable premiums have been arranged and will be paid to the successful ;ontestants. Special Railroad rates of one fare plus 25 cents have been granted from Augusta, Columbia and Allendale and intermediate points. An excellent oand of music will be employ ;d to assist in the entertainment of visitors. The LJatesburg Opera House will furnish entertainment for the visitors during the ivenings.
