Brabham, and daughter, Miss Gedelle, are expected home today after a month's stay in Asheville. ?District Deputy J. B. Black, B. W. Miley, L. B. Fowler, and H. W. Adams went up to Williston yesterday to attend the meeting of the district lodge Knights of Pythias. ?Mr. J. 0. Kearse and son, Stacey, of the Kearse section, were in the city Monday. C., to spend ten days or two weeks. ?Mr. H. J. Riley, who has been sick for some time and who was carried to a hospital in Charleston last week for treatment, is improving, which will be pleasant news to the many friends of himself and family. ?Mr. J. W. Barnes, of the Cope section, was in the city last Saturday. He is a grass widower at present, as Mrs. Barnes has gone to the Jamestown Exposition with a party of friends. Move's Contest for Most Popular Young People Goes Merrily on.?The Leaders. The last month of the most notable contest ever held in Bamberg is well under way, and the time is growing short. There is much interest ibeing taken in both the monthly contest for the candy, and especially in the grand contest, the winners in which will have free trips to Jamestown. For tne contest of the month, Miss Eula Rowell and Mr. H. N. Folk are the leaders. Miss Garland and Mr. Carl Kirsch still lead for the entire contest. The next few weeks will without a doubt witness the greatest voting spurt which has yet been experienced, and as a fitting climax to tne affair, vote upon vote will be cast. You should get a vote with every irink at Moye's fount, and with every purchase of a cigar.
