WHY LEGION POSTS PROGRESS Working JHand in Hand' With Re spective Communities Results in Membership Increase. Progress of thg posts of the Ameri can Legion is founded on the relations with the community in which they are located, according to findings of the national officers of the organization from a -survey of posts showing regu lar membership increase. This survey was made in 22 states, principally those of agricultural re gions, and represented reports from 640 posts in towns with an average population of iiersons. Each of these posts has shown membership in crease over that of the preceding year. Membership growth of thes<* posts lias not been sporadic. It has been steady and sure. Of the 30*1 posts formed la 191U. an average of 30 member* was shown. In V-CO this avei posts had dropped to 2B> year TM udde«l otie average.
