However, the yield this year still promises to be the best made since 1920, as a good crop had matur ed before the weevil became so ac tive. Reports from some sections are to the effect that considerable dam age is being done. The meeting wass well attended and is characterized by delegates and visi tors as being one of the best sessions in every way held in some yean. The following officers were elect ed: Dr. Robert Black, president; W. E. Free, secretary, and C. W. Rents, Jr., treasurer, all of Bamberg city. A number of splendid addresses featur ed the occasion. Included among them were Dr. T. J. Watts, State Sunday school secretary; Mias Eliza beth Nichols. State superintendent of elementary work; CoL F. N. K. Bail ey, of Greenwood; Dr. V. M.
