Mrs. M. l.oodholt and Miss Alma Loadholt of Hickory Grove were recent visitors here. Mrs. and Misses Allen of Sycamore were here this week. Mr. and Mrs. Abe Dowling of Brun son were visitors here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Kearse of Flor ida have been spending some time with their mother, Mrs. Christina Kearse. Mrs. Harvey and daughter from Manuel were here recently. Misses Ftta King and Irene Barton of Orangeburg are visiting Mrs. Mc Cain. Misses Albergotti and Fold spent the week-end with friends at Estill. Miss Mell Kearse of Olar has been the guest of Mrs. W. F. Harter for several days. Mrs. W. E. Harter and a bevey of church workers gave a bazar and sup per at Manuel’s store Thursday eve ning for the Methodist church. Over |T>0 was taken in. The first number of the Alkahest system came off Tuesday evening. It was a grand entertainment, consisting of fine instrumental and vocal music- on piano and violin, impersonations and readings.
