We are especially interested in the following: “How is it here in Spartanburg? Public sen itment is not strong enough to make blind tigers pay the fines or go to the chaingang. Here in this city a blind tiger may be as guilty as he can be and it is certain that he will continue the work. There are lawyers, who, by appeal or otherwise, will have the sentence held up and the blind tiger will give bond and resume business in twenty-four hours. The lawyer who perverts justice when he knows his client is guilty of selling liquor and who knows that he will continue the business, is as bad as the blind tiger.” Orders f»r engraved card* and in vitations will receive prompt attention if sent to The People office We rep resent one of the best engraving houses in the country and the prices are very reasonable.
