NNEYlS passant Mam i« aamma^nw* i ; r 1 Mrs. Minnie BarucR Struck By A Truck Mrs. Minnie Baruch, venerable resident of this citv and widow of the late Mannes Baruch, was in jured when struck by a truck on West DeKalb 'Street Tuesday morning. Mrs. Baruch was cross ing the street from south to north when the accident occurred. Mrs. Baruch was assisted to the office of Mayor Henry Savage and later to her home on Lyttle- ton street. It is stated that no bones were broken, but she was cut and scratched and suffered from shock. Kate Williams Will Graduate On June 1 Kate Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David R. During the afternoon little Miss Mary Jo Upchurch, daughter of the organizing secretary for the children of the American Aevo- lution, dressed in a quaint “grab- bag” costume of cretonne with shoe-pockets sewed all around for the surprises, gave her proceeds to the chapter fund. This will be used for renovation of the local South Carolina Room at Continen tal Hall for the proposed marker at the Hobkirk Hill Battlefield and for the school at Tamassee. The table in the din ing room was centered with an exquisite antiaue silver urn filled with white gladioli, white iris, yellow roses and Easter Reed daisies. Tall green tapers, in sil ver holders and Dresden candy dishes holding green and white mints completed the table ar rangement The two punch bowls, one at each end of banouet table, were presided over by Mrs. Cooke, the hostess, and by Mrs. Wm.
