Las*. n;gh: about 7 o'olock*Jiob King, local mail driver and) postal employee, 'stole aj Buick ^?5ach and made his getaway, it is alleged. .It seems that for some weeks King has been under suspicion by the local postal authorities. He was watched closely by Postn#a*ter Dan K. Duke3 and yesterday was questioned about various matters, and more especially about a chest he carried under the seat of the. mail truck. When questioned just before the arrival of the train from Colum bia. about six o'clock, he stated that he wov'd get the key. In the mean time Postmaster Dukes removed the army chest from the mail wagon or truck. In a short time :t :s said that King returned w.th a number of keys but none would fit it. It is understood the chest came from the local armory and that King, being a member of the iccal machine gun company, se cured it there. No key cou'.d be found to open the chest and finally Post master Dukes filed it open. He found in it several parcel post packages, he stated. Whpn K.ng returned with the mail and his truck after meeting the Southern tram from Columbia, it is said, he drove up. left the mail truck running, the lights on and jumped from the car and :ar. across the street and got into the Buick coach of J. Yet Sells for Less ^ ? ?. if any other manufacturei endeavored to produce a cai similar to the Ford according to the high standards of the Ford Motor Company, it would be impossible to offer it at any thing like the present low Ford prices. If the Ford Motor Company would substitute ordinary de sign for the basic Ford features, Ford cars could be produced and sold for less than tne present Ford prices. Yet by so doing. Ford simplicity, durability and reliability would fall below the standard insisted upon by the Ford Motor Company. Just think! 13,000,000 model T Ford cars have been produced since 1908- almost as many automobiles as were built by all other manufacturers combined. In 1925, almost 2,000,000 Ford cars and trucks were built and sold? and plans for 1926 call for the production of even more than 2,000,000. ? It was the superiority of Ford design in 1908 that established Ford leadership. It is this same Ford design, improved but basically unchanged, that Is continuing to make the Ford car the outstanding leader among all automobiles. Features that Contribute to Ford Simplicity?
