Tom was born in Tinifod section, In the upper part of Kershaw county; 10 years ago. and came to Camden when the Hermitage Mill was flrat started up. Ixiter on, hia family moved to Waterce and have been here Bloat <>f the time since. Tom had been deadily employed for the post three years at our mill. Mr Newman hus been in bad health for some time, -but only recently did we learn of its seri ous nature. lie leaves 11 widowed mother, sevoral ? istcrs and brothers, to whom our community at large extends heartfelt sympathy.
