In order to do this we go to considerable expense, as we intend $g||(fve away absolutety free to some young lady in Kershaw County a Handsome Pour Hundred Dollar Kimball Piano. The Contest will begin on September 2!nd and close December 18, 1912, and the young lady 1 receiving the largest number of votes by renewals and new subscriptions will receive this handsome / instrument. THE PLAN: Select some young lady in your community cut out the coupon and mail it to this office proper-' - i ly filled out which will count 1,000 votes, or better still, enclose $1.00 as a new subscriber, or one dollar on back subscription, and, it with the coupon, will count 2,000 votes for her. The standing of the candidates will be published each week in The Chronicle and a careful and accurate account will be kept of all subscriptions turned in by each contestant. The instru ment we intend to give away is the same as those used in some of the best homes in Camden I and throughout Kershaw County, and will be placed on display soon in one of Camden's popular business establishments for the inspection of those interested.
