A very ssd accident occurred here last 1'riday in the death of Mr. C. J. Ives, a gentleman who has been a citizen here for many years. His horse ran away and threw him from his buggy killing him iustantly. He left his home in tho morning to go to Croft's Mill. He reached there alright J hut the horse got frightened at the sijilit of the mill and ran away with the above results. The funeral was conducted by Kcvs. J. N. EnUmin ?er and T. W. Munnerlyn and the body laid to rest in the family burying ground in sight of his house. Mr. Ives leaves a large family to mourn his death to whom wo extend our heartfelt sympa thies. ?J* G. Antioch.
