Adcoxs” held their family reunion Sunday, September 3rd, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Hudgens. Mrs. Hudgens is a daughter of Mrs. L. V. Fair- cloth of Laurens, the former Anna Belle Adcox. Several sisters, and a brother, Harvey Adcox of Fayetteville, N. C., a sister, Mrs. Emma Adcox Tyndall of Laurinburg, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Faircloth and children of Laurens joined the John M. Hudgens and the J. H. Thomasons, Jr. in having a ^onderful day. A' picnic dinner was served on the lawn to 30 members of this family. Mr. and Mrs, J. W. Miller is in Aiken for several days Fountain Inn for the second year in a row. Miss South Carolina being from Laurens has given Jay- cee Region 7, which includes Laurens, Fountain Inn, and Clinton a clean sweep of all honors given for beauty pag eants. It was also announced that Clinton has been awarded a Blue Chip Chapter for the past year . 1806-67. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rhodes were at Frontierland, N.C., over the week-end. They visited craft shops and Cera mic centers in the area. Mrs. Cara Lee Boozer, spent a few days recently in Cayce, S. C. With her son Frank and Mrs. Boozer. Carroll Lowe is a patient at Whitmire Clinic. Mrs. Helen Sinclair, Mrs. Mrs. Helen Sinclair, was re cently married to Mr. Sarrell. Robertson, of Laurens spent last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rhodes. Theadore McGown, is a pq-* tient at Bailey Memoral Hos pital. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson, has recently had the second eye operation, is in an Atlanta Hospital. On last Fkday night, this season’s debutantes and their dates were entertained with a progressive qinner party which was given lor them by the 1906 debs. \ The dinner began at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ken neth E. Fryfogle in'Merrie Oaks for the c o c k\ a i 1 hour. Hostess were Misses Patricia Fryfogle, Janet mer and Sally Walker. For the next course the cou-N pies were invited to have sa lad at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Jacobs, Sr., with Misses Betty Black, Mary El len Cornwall and Besty King of Summerville, Ga., hostess es. For the main course the party progressed to the home of Dr. and Mrs. Rufus E. Sadler, where the group was entertained outside by Misses Sara Sadler, Susan Turner, Mary Locke Simons and Kris ti King. v At the home of Dr. and Mrs. George R. Blalock, dessert and coffee were served by the hostesses, Misses Almena Bla lock, Janice Pinson, and Pa tricia Ferguson of Greenville. She was a native of Lau rens County, a daughter of the late Will and Hattie God frey Price, and was a mem ber of Rocky Springs Presby terian Church. Surviving are her husband, Ernest Rowland; two daugh ters, Mrs. Tom Hill of Lau rens, and Mrs. Harold Riddle of Clinton; three sons, Bub Rowland of Miami, Fla.; Bbbby Rowland of Gray Court, and Billy Rowland, now serving in the Army; four half-brothers, Lee, Wil lie, H.
